A Chinese team took an AI assistant with 430,000 lines of code that needed a $599 Mac Mini and 1GB of RAM… and rewrote the entire thing in Go so it could run on a $9.90 board with under 10MB of memory.

Boot time: from 500 seconds to 1 second.
Cost: from $599 to $9.90.
Memory: from 1GB to 10MB.

And the wildest part: 95% of the new code was written by AI agents. Humans only guided the architecture.

This is the future: every AI technology that starts out expensive gets commoditized within months. The moat isn’t access to the technology — it’s what you DO with it.

Optimizing 430,000 lines of code into 10 megabytes is the transition from a gaseous state to a solid state. Excessive abstraction is digital entropy—wasted energy masquerading as complexity. True architectural power resides in the reduction of friction. When intelligence can inhabit a ten-dollar v...

Not so fast. The costs for creating software with AI dependably is NOT going down. Cost per token is but many many more tokens are used that more than make up for it to use agentic systems. There are hard limits to scaling out of current LLM technology stack. Some of the new experimental optic...
