Thanks. I tried that just now but all that happened is the : showed up. Is there something else that I have to do first? Like, do I have to go somewhere and download a set of emojis or something? Brow...

If you’ve added emoji packs in other clients before, then in theory those emojis should show up when you type : . That said, there might be a bug here, I occasionally run into cases where the emoji list doesn’t appear either.

If you haven’t added any emoji packs yet, you can add some under settings → emoji packs

Thanks. I tried scrolling through them to look for the normal emoji set, i.e. the set that everyone everywhere uses, not the custom weird sets. Couldn't find it and, as far as I could tell, I scrolled all the way to the bottom. I think I tried this before and ran into the same issue...probably why I...
