I’m holding some tokenized stocks now and spent some time trying to understand which model fits me best.
If you think tokenized NVDA from different issuers is just the same product with different branding, the reality is it’s not. And I think most people buying them don't know
➤ Tokenized stocks differ significantly based on their underlying model: synthetic (optimizing for distribution and DeFi composability) versus native (optimizing for direct on-chain ownership of shares).
➤ Currently, synthetic models dominate the market share due to easier distribution and broader accessibility, despite not always granting direct ownership of the underlying shares.
➤ The future of tokenized stocks will likely see crypto-native retail favoring synthetic models for liquidity and composability, while institutions will prefer native or regulated structures for legal clarity and ownership.
