It’s about sending the signal and building momentum… it gets picked up by media and makes it a talking point which then leads to education… education of the masses and politicians… politicians...
agree with all you said, but I'm afraid that if the "medium" of changing things is asking your politicians to do something about it, then nothing will ever change.
Sure, maybe one thing will be stopped/changed, but then we will have the same problem later on in another form.
I agree with @Cyph3rp9nk point of view: the goal is to achieve a state where politicians are not able to do what they are doing now (take away their power, aka money control), not allowing them to be in a position to do it, and then having to protest when politicians do something you don't like. The way I see it is a widespread long-term solution vs a short-term "on this specific case" solution.
We all agree on the goal, we just disagree on the best way to achieve it and where to aim our energy/focus. Peace and love
