I tend to agree. But, I would probably be most worried about corruption, cohesion and infiltration at that point and majority attacks (which is a nut we haven't fully cracked yet).
We don't have the same high fees as BTC on transactions thanks to tail emission, we have privacy and fungibility. So, I believe the means of transaction will stay the same. But, a lot of other worries and problems might arrive at that level and a fork would probably come in to question.
