@nprofile1q... However, there is a workaround in order to view notifications nevertheless. Draw a widget for the app "Settings" onto your home screen. Then you will be prompted with a choice of functions this widged is supposed to represent. If you choose "Notification log" you will still be able to view past notifications although notifications history is disabled.
