1) IARC is organization that classified it (International Agency for Research on Cancer) which makes classification pretty serious
2) The IARC has classified combined hormonal contraceptive pills (those containing both estrogen and progestogen) in group 1
That is old news. 2005/2008
3) so, it's old news and it's only some pills. For example, progestogen-only pills are not in group 1, they are in group 2B
4) basically everything that is tested is classified in one of groups. Being group 2B doesn't mean much. For example, coffee (yes, hot drink a lot of us drink every day) was for long time in 2B. Aloe Vera extract is 2B etc.
One should not make simple conclusions to complex situation and call for radical moves.
