if they buy it up and hold then nobody can do anything with it. they lock it up and force us all back onto whatever crappy currency they come up with.
if you're in charge of the world dropping $1-2tr to eliminate the competition is a cheap price.
for BTC to work, as I've always said, it needs to be used as a medium of exchange not as a store of value.
