Beware of doing KYC on ZBD app because no matter how much you request them to delete your account and data in their system, they will not do it.

What sucks even more is when you mistakenly link your zbd account to your #nostr account. This wrong doing will make your nostr "centralized". There's no other way as of the moment on how to unlink zbd account from nostr account, so NEVER link your nostr to your zbd.

So yeah, claiming that nostr is "decentralized" is an illusion. If scammer zbd app can do it, others also can. If nostr is truly decentralized, this kind of "attacks" to make it centralized will not easily happen. Hope this attack on nostr will be fixed soon.

Nostr is open and decentralized. What you described is actually a decent example. Derek already said it, Nostr is decentralized, apparently you did some KYC in ZBD wich is a client that might have their own data. People must be aware of this. Also what you place on Nostr is mostly public visible and hard to delete.

If you give ZbD your nsec you can still use it on other clients. The issue is creating your npub in zbd
