Same reason I won't trust Proton myself... If they're going to pull stunts like this... do you *really* trust Proton? I mean what happens when your email address linked to any crypto wallet or exchange you have, and it get's one of the warnings from above? And basically you have no recourse, no way...

Those pesky criminals sending illegal emails and other criminal stuff. If only we had people that could rule over us to keep us safe from those nasty people!

I've been using Proton's paid services for a while now, very happily. But it's the third time I see worrying notices like this from people. So I'm already thinking about migrating. The Simple Login integration is something I will absolutely miss, but whatchu gonna do.

I would recommend against both proton wallet and proton VPN. The other proton services are fine - they are private but not anonymous unless you are very careful about opsec.

Proton ecosystem is a honeypot. Intentionally or not.
