@nprofile1q... I got this with the book Katabasis by R.F. Kuang. Drove me up the wall that the students were at Cambridge, yet were doing seven-year PhDs they were still settling on the subject of (in the UK it's usually 3-4 years and you go in with a fairly firm idea of your research question), used terms like 'freshman', etc.
