As much as I like Mises, I disagree with this statement.
Despite its rapid growth, elimination of poverty, and even reduction of inequality, Chile did not have a narrative, believing that the numbers were enough.
The left entered the classrooms, and young people became immune to the evidence.
After further growth of the state, the model broke down, the country stagnated, and the younger generations still believe that more state intervention is needed to fix what the state itself broke.
