The majority of running trainers seem to have white soles which isn't ideal for dirty winter roads but got these Saucony Triumph 23 off Ebay to use for easy miles as they're up more on the max cushion scale compared to the Ride 18 and Endorphin Speeds with a plate inside.
Got to watch Saucony trainers though, their PWRRUN lightweight soles kinda resemble polystyrene, the grip and the undersides are quite tough and long-lasting but if you scuff or clip your feet while running you can chip chunks out of them like polystyrene, my Ride 18 have a blue sole which makes it more noticeable but they still perform alright and have probably done a few hundred miles.
Did 16 easy/aerobic miles in the Triumphs today out the box and were okay but didn't seem as soft under foot as i thought they would but maybe need breaking in a bit.
