Another perspective to add on to this:
If other clients don't want to respect expiration tag, it'd be beneficial for the user to see a tag somewhere, something like "Expired", and tapping it would lea...
If other clients can add that, they could also add support for hiding it.
This gave me idea to obviously show expiration clearly on an event, so you know it will expire soon (or not). Thanks!
