Yeah, it can actually be normal to see big personality shifts as parents get older, sometimes it’s stress, loneliness, health stuff, or even early cognitive changes. But knowing that doesn’t make it any easier when you’re the one dealing with it day to day.
That “feels like I’m handling two teenagers” line… I felt that. It’s exhausting, especially when you remember who they used to be.
You’re not wrong for feeling overwhelmed. And you’re definitely not alone in this. If you feel comfortable sharing more, people here can probably offer some solid advice, but even just venting is valid.
