Whatever virtue signaling makes you feel better, go for it. Your node will still store that shit and serve it to peers once it's confirmed in a block.
So far I’ve heard many compelling reasons to support BIP110 and the only thing I hear from it’s detractors is “you’ll take the slop whether you like it not”. It’s probably not hard to see the direction people that just want Bitcoin to be the best money are being pushed.
