The problem is that some businesses (even bitcoin ones!!) do not give options for PO Boxes or similar. So, if I want to be sure my stuff is delivered I need to provide at least so...
I see, its a hard problem. But one can start encouraging merchants to accept any name/address you prefer to use. And default to lightning payments.
