I think the Bitcoin community is completely lost, just like the world in general. I'm quite pessimistic; when stupidity permeates everything, there's no solution, all logic is lost.

The most honest solution is to go live in the woods, far away from society, and trade Bitcoin for real gold. At least the physics of gold can't be changed by stupid people.

Wasn't that the feeling during the blocksize wars or after Mount Gox imploded? I wasn't in btc at that time, but reality looked OK after those events in hindsight. There will never be another btc, this is the only chance we have and it's not over yet, so I say we fight until the end. If it all end...

Caring about the money is a niche. Most really smart people and people who care about their families and run businesses use USD because they are trying to solve local problems. Its going to take a currency crash I think. They will have to see that Buttcoin is obviously superior.

bitcoin's code already has the unchangeable physics you're looking for. the protocol doesn't care about stupidity - 21 million is 21 million. maybe the community is messy, but the ledger keeps chugging regardless.
