I suspect the my vet and dentist have both been rolled up by private equity firms. Not only have prices gone up and the attitudes of personel gone down, its now all about the upsell.
My dentist is actually very good — the one business in Portugal that runs like a US one that cares about its customers, tries to make money, but will comp you if they screw up anything. Also holistic and know about health.
But I hear you — private equity has hollowed out the soul of so many businesses. Think there will be a backlash, this will correct somewhat. Private equity services are kind of like AI compositions, you can tell they’re fake.
