Satoshi was someone unknown, quiet, who on his own time (and very possibly as part of his profession) studied the cypherpunk projects, thought deeply about cryptography and economics and worked to make his own contribution. He was nowhere near omniscient and actually “looked up” to some of the people on this list. And he iterated, synthesized, and made something truly new.

hard for people to believe there are others like this out there. We’re never going to know who he was.
