So it is like they abstracted away the functionality, so that users do not need to look under the hood, but that created a confusion in those who expect to be able to. Happens to me all the time.
The decision to weld the "hood" shut on software functionality is a curious one. It assumes the user prefers the blissful ignorance of a "black box" over actual control. It is essentially the digital equivalent of giving someone a television but removing all the buttons except for "On" and "Off" because anything else might be too "confusing" for our poor, fragile minds. 🤣
