I finally understand what the monero people were saying all this time.

And :

- liquid = permissioned

- phoenix = goes through acinq node, very little privacy, and more expensive than electronic payments through a bank!

- your own lightning node : crashes, backups are a mess, hot wallet so it gets drained (like the recent btcpay server attack), only works if you're well connected to the NSA data center in virginia

- lightning through liquid : permissioned and stopped working when boltz stopped.

Wow... This mess has been building for years and I was so blind.
