I mean it seems to be working for Europe ironically enough.
Most countries have banned artifical dyes.
But I think most transparent labeling like they do in Mexico, and France, etc. would be good at the bare minimum.
Right now consumers aren't given information to engage in a proper contract/transaction with the company.
I think most people unfortunately operate under the assumption that it's being sold, so it must be safe, and legal.

I agree that regulations perhaps aren't the best way of going about it but if the government is good at one thing it's killing industries, I don't think it's necessarily bad if the state ended artificial food dye industry.
I mean it ended CFCs which destroyed the ozone, lead, and Asbestos, etc.
But I do agree that informing people is important as well.
