What if toxic Bitcoiners are doing more harm than the cryptobros?
I always ask content creators for permission before using any clip in Zap Crypto.
I could just grab whatever’s floating around online and call it a day… but I don’t.
That’s my way of respecting other people’s work.
And this week, for the first time in four years, someone said no.
A hardcore Bitcoiner.
It surprised me… and yeah, it hurt my little heart a bit 😭
For years, I’ve made my zaps to push people toward Bitcoin, to expose the flaws in alts, to create that tiny spark that makes someone seek the truth for themselves.
No partnerships.
Never sold my integrity.
Just the desire to pass on what I know.
And then the answer I got was:
“Bitcoiners don’t want to be associated with cryptobros.”
I get the intention.
But that mindset feels like living in a room with no windows.
It turns Bitcoin into a dogma, a religion, something elitist.
And human psychology hates that. Anything that looks like a closed-off tribe makes people run away long before they even try to understand.
Because deep down…
If toxic bitcoiners truly wanted to “spread the good word,” wouldn’t they want their content to circulate as widely as possible?
The goal is to enlighten people, not hide the light under a bowl.
Truth grows when it moves, not when it’s locked up 💁♀️
Yes, the crypto world is imperfect and full of noise.
But even in the chaos, there are always moments where Bitcoin shines.
Moments we can use to teach, guide, and plant the seed.
Refusing that is throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
Saying “everything else = trash” stops people from doing their own research.
It kills DYOR.
It creates disciples instead of free thinkers.
And Bitcoin is the opposite of dogma, it’s the antidote to dogma.
Form matters just as much as substance.
A strong message can be right… but delivered poorly, it becomes toxic.
You can be right about everything and still push everyone away.
“Bitcoin, not crypto.”
I say it myself.
But you don’t lead people to the truth by slamming doors in their face.
You bring them there gently, with teaching, by making them want to explore.
No one is born a Bitcoin maxi.
We become one.
And that’s exactly why I make my zaps 🙃
