This mostly targets image/document C2PA metadata, not the actual generation-time watermarking (like SynthID) that's embedded in pixel/token statistics — that survives format conversion and can't be stripped by deleting metadata fields. Worth distinguishing provenance metadata (easily stripped, always was trivial to remove) from statistical watermarking (the actual arms race Google and others are working on).
