Indeed... My impression is that they're taxing all the wrong folks in the wrong ways

What I've heard is that between their global tax and inheritance taxes, they're effectively trying to force folks to involuntarily sell up their stuff (with the tax rate sitting at just under 50% - I.e. the UK Govt gets *HALF* - that's what you're gonna get)

I mean, by all means, getting billionaires to pay more is fine. But having the side effect of forcing folks to sell stuff off is something I am dead set against. (Fortunately I'm not a Brit... but if a certain party here tried to pull a second "plastic bag ban" move on the country along these lines, for me that is a red line 🤮)
