Agreed, begging is a huge turn off. Even asking for donations for a legitimate cause gets old when it’s overdone. Where my own messaging about V4V has come off as begging is something I continue to consider and try to adjust, because it’s not the message I intend and it’s not constructive in terms of addressing the larger issue of artists monetizing on Nostr. The issue is real, though, and it’s important to me, and I’d rather have some days where I make an ass of myself than just give up on the issue entirely. I’m not worried about whether anyone here likes me 😂

I consider content provided as v4v a legitimate cause for fundraising. I'm calling it begging jokingly, but what I really mean is just shameless asking. Fundraising is a craft that can be learned and perfected. It's very similar to sales and marketing.
