Fallout 1 and 2 are extremely simple and straightforward games and both are extremely easy to break and trivialize. There is no great challenge in any of them and in Fallout 1 you stand more of a chance of being trapped and softlocked behind an AI companion you cannot ask to move than you do actually dying.

Great fun though and classics for a reason but they are not unapproachable at all.
