Some of my favorite creative moments are the ones that have nothing to do with creating. 🐾

Just sitting among books. Thinking. Watching the light change. Hearing little paws moving across the floor. Feeling a warm little body nearby.

Animals have this beautiful way of making a space feel alive.

And when you’re someone who spends so much time inside your own imagination, having another living being beside you can be grounding in a way words can’t really explain.

They don’t care what you’re working on.
They don't care if you’ve had a productive day.
They don’t care whether your latest creation is brilliant or unfinished.

They just want to be near you.

Maybe that’s why pets are such a gift to creative people. They remind us that not every moment needs to become art. Some moments are simply meant to be lived.

Years from now, I probably won’t remember every piece I created in this room.

But I’ll remember the little souls who kept me company while I was creating them. 🤎🐈📚
