Adventures of Dog:
He just went outside for a wee, and a weird squealing noise ensued. I looked to see what was going on and he had a rat in his mouth, which he promptly dropped and fled for the house with blood streaming down his nose.
This is not remotely like him, he has zero prey drive. Itβs also not typical rat behaviour: even when I walked towards it, it just stood there and only shakily scurried off when I was a few feet away. Iβm hoping it was sick, rather than that someoneβs been putting poison out.
(The bleeding has stopped, it was only a tiny scratch/bite. As it happens, heβs still on his antibiotics anyway, so Iβm not greatly concerned.)
