Adventures of Dog:

He just went outside for a wee, and a weird squealing noise ensued. I looked to see what was going on and he had a rat in his mouth, which he promptly dropped and fled for the house with blood streaming down his nose.

This is not remotely like him, he has zero prey drive. It’s also not typical rat behaviour: even when I walked towards it, it just stood there and only shakily scurried off when I was a few feet away. I’m hoping it was sick, rather than that someone’s been putting poison out.

(The bleeding has stopped, it was only a tiny scratch/bite. As it happens, he’s still on his antibiotics anyway, so I’m not greatly concerned.)

How odd. Rats are usually a lot harder to catch than that. Hope dog is OK. Nose is a very sensitive area to be scratched or bitten.
