Backlogs are good, I'm looking forward to being better and reading some, but the culture at large being open to me? Watching a baseball and understanding the announcers, reading an old fable without it being dumbed down for western stupidity or translated into approximations that make no sense without already having to learn the nuance of the translation? I'm pretty eager to dig into the fairy tales that were used in Urusei Yatsura as opposed to another perverted comic about a gutless high school student who saw a girl's bra strap.
