the food doesn't come faster or taste better or have a larger portion when you tip at the counter, so why tip?
@nprofile1q... my first rule is If I order at a counter while standing I don’t tip. My Chinese takeout place wants a tip on the online ordering. For what? They already charge a $1.50 for ordering online. Unfortunately my Mandarin is not good and their English is not good, so online ordering is best.
