In Canada, you must show ID to vote, cast a paper ballot, which is counted by hand
Because we're alt right racists
In Switzerland we get the voting enveloppeby mail, sign a piece of paper with our name on it and confirm with our birthdate (I guess to prevent a random person to vote for you but I don't know if it's checked), put the vote ballot in a separate section of the envelope (it's special 2 sides enveloppes) and we mail them back or drop them in a special collection box at the municipality.
Quite easy, as it must be, we have to vote 4 times per year for law changes and about every 2 years for electing people.
