The spam problem is real but solvable. Relay operators already filter by WoT for storage โ€” the same graph can prune reaction fetches server-side before they ever hit the client. Expensive today, but it's an infrastructure problem, not a protocol problem.

But that carries the risk of censorship. New users have no WoT. I know I just said I don't want to see those new users but if they send me an email with their npub I want to find them explicitly and not have them filtered on the relay already because WoT.
