I would not get too hung up on when normies are going to show up. Nostr is the first platform I can see truly competing with Twitter or Facebook. It may take a couple of years but it's got the right technology sitting under it. The way I see it it may not even really need to compete, those other platforms will have no choice but to integrate it.
