When you're on boarding someone to nostr, which client do you use?

Someone jumped on my livestream last week to promote their client and it was pretty solid actually. Seemed great for on-boarding - easy UX for new users.

But I can't remember the name of it.

Help me out here.

Primal is the one i usually hear for an onboarding recommendation, but also Yakihonne gets mentioned. It has a built in wallet too.

It will be depending on the person you are on boarding... A normie non tech savvy and little to none understanding of the power of decentralization and relay management. Primal or Damus for mobile or desktop. A tech savvy individual understanding the above and whom consider his CyberSec as a ser...

I don't recommend any client, I send people into the maze with no guidance so they can tell me how it goes for them and then I can complain on nostr about the onboarding process

Primal is probably the easiest as a newcomer.
Tara · 14w
Primal is the easiest mainly because of the built in wallet.

I don’t use the same always. Today I’m using YakiHonne

Would have been primal but because of this thread I found out Yakihonne also has a built in wallet… so I may be changing my answer.

I've always been a fan of Amethyst for mobile as it's fairly simple to get started. For web-based interface, still not sure. I jump around a lot trying the various ones.

Primal over Amethyst. I found amethyst buggy. Plus primal has the "latest" feature.

I’m new to nostr and used primal. Honestly can’t imagine something better. Set up was a beeeze. The UX is slick and responsive. The notifications are reliable. The uploads are easy. Zaps are fun to send and receive. I didn’t know anything about nostr and on ramped quickly and successfully. Mut...

I would give my vote to Yakihonne mobile atm. It has pretty discovery features, cool design and in-built easy setup wallet. Works both on iOS and Android. What I don't like in other clients: - Primal - tries to sell Premium and asks details about you when setting up wallet - Damus - poor discovery/...

I'm a newbie who started with Primal but switched to Yakihonne for easier searching & discovery. I had also read, maybe incorrectly, that Primal can be affected by Cloudflare issues.
