I am dead-ass convinced reading comprehension is not a thing anymore.
People read headlines, extrapolate whatever connection is made in their head and don't bother actually looking into things.
imo, you can see it in their eyes. they cant look at one thing (besides their phone) for longer than 10 seconds. they act like addicts late for an appointment
