Do yourself a favor and go see Project Hail Mary.

It is a delightfully funny, thoughtful, and smart movie. There is a lot of subtle humor and subtle references. There is also hopefulness.

It's really refreshing how it respects the viewer, trusts you to pick up on and understand important plot points and jokes, doesn't force-feed you the context.

Been a long time since I've had that much genuine fun at the cinema.

Of course I also recommend the book and the audiobook (they're great)!
