Over the weekend, I tried a new wood treatment for the shop.
I was wanting an old school wood preservative because modern water based products do not last. (And look like crap)
I found a Scandinavian wood treatment using 1:1:1 parts pine tar, boiled linseed oil, and mineral spirits.
I applied with an airless paint sprayer.
The look far exceeded my expectations as it was applied on weathered cedar siding that looked flat. The oil really brings out the grain and depth.
The first picture is one side half sprayed. The look gets better as it soaks in.
