⚡💬 VISION - ”Flash... Today marks 400 days since you started working on Nostr. You've just surpassed 21,000 notes. And the result... what is it?”

Instead of giving you a black-and-white summary of the situation, I will explain the two ways of looking at it:

➥ Negatively

I need to stop being delusional and face reality.
400 days, to put it into perspective: that's 1 year, 1 month, and 4 days.
All this time playing Nostpreneur... and what did I get in return?

Not much. Oh yes, I ate miles and miles of crap to bring you only the cream, the caviar of current events.

That's the truth about the job: you get dirty so that the feed stays clean.

Because yes, there's one thing I know: I set the bar very high.
Very high for me. But even higher for those who want to make news here.

Who can match this speedrun?
➥ 52 posts a day, for 400 days.
➥ No breaks. No automation.
➥ Quality + quantity.
➥ High frequency.

And unfortunately for those who come after me... it's going to be tough. Even for me, it's currently difficult to keep up the pace I've set for myself, but that's because I'm like that: I go all out, or I do nothing.
But let's be honest: my experience on Nostr only brings in peanuts.

And the worst part? I can't even put it on my resume.

Sometimes I imagine myself going to a job interview and having to answer this question: what do you do with your days? I don't know how to lie, but I can't tell them that I spend eight hours a day on Nostr processing information in a very different way than what you might find in conventional media.

First of all, I'll have to explain what Nostr is. And then, either I'll come across as a tech enthusiast... or as a weird guy who lives in a niche.

And then he'll ask me for my profile.
He'll open my feed.
And in 10 seconds, he'll get a rude awakening. With his five doses of Moderna/Pfizer in his system and his love of consensus, he'll immediately classify me as “marginal.”

And he'll look for someone more mainstream.
Someone who doesn't bother anyone.
Someone who fits the mold.

In the end, this experience has no value, because I can't even use it in the real world. It only has value in my head.

➥ Positively

And this time, I'll put it differently:

I may not have “succeeded” in the way the world understands it... but I've built something real.

I built it on a protocol where no one can press a button and say:
➥ “Your account is deleted.”
➥ “Your content does not comply with our rules.”
➥ “Shadowban.”
➥ “Demonetization.”
➥ “Account suspended.”

Here, I am at home. And that changes everything.

In 400 days, I didn't just post news. I created a presence. A signature. A brand.

Flash, today, is more than just a username.
It's a benchmark.
It's a style.
It's a way of informing.

I made my feed recognizable in a second. Even without a photo. Even without a name. You see a note, you know it's me.

And above all... I did something that few people are capable of doing:
persisting.
➥ Staying consistent.
➥ Staying true.
➥ Staying active, even when no one is watching.

I learned to work fast. To filter out the noise. To sense what matters. To be there when the news breaks.

I built an archive. Something that can't be erased.

And beyond all that...
I've already told you this, but I've earned the hardest thing:

Your trust.

Not the “easy” trust that comes with entertainment. No.
The trust you earn when you inform, when you take hits, when you come back the next day, and the day after that…

Because yes, I took some hits when I started here. At first, I wasn't anyone's friend. I was a nuisance to some, an extra guy, and it bothered them to see someone come in and want to change the dynamic of Nostr. Some people really didn't like the fact that I was trying to make it a real substitute for centralized social networks, a place where someone could be “Nostr only” without ever feeling like they were missing out on content, pace, information, or diversity. It was my idea, and I followed through with it.

It hurt some egos, it sparked criticism, sometimes even contempt. But in the end, I don't give a damn: I'm still here. And I'm better than yesterday.

And if tomorrow everything stops, no one can take away what I have built here.
Because it's not an account.
It's a foundation.

Now, with all due respect, a big THANK YOU to the handful of men and women who support me every day, in every way possible. You know who you are... and I know who you are.

And let me remind you: those who believe in me, those who believe in the Flash project, can support it simply.

➥ By talking about Flash to those around you.
➥ By sharing, zap, comment my notes.
➥ Or even just by writing to me: “FLASH, you're doing a great job.”

It may seem like nothing, but it matters. It encourages me to keep going.

And for those who prefer to let the blockchain do the talking: here is my address.
