“MMM MMM MMM MMM” by Crash Test Dummies sounds like the soundtrack of a substitute teacher explaining life through emotional damage and cafeteria mystery meat.
The band reportedly thought the song was too weird for mainstream radio which, ironically, guaranteed it would become a massive hit in the ‘90s, a decade powered entirely by confusion and questionable haircuts. Brad Roberts’ impossibly deep voice made every lyric sound like ancient wisdom carved into a Canadian tree trunk.
Somehow a song about awkward kids, trauma, and humming became globally iconic. Humanity truly peaked when we collectively agreed: “yes, this humming man understands us.”

Unironically one of my favorite bands... But that's just like. My opinion man. https://npub1uq6dv4yq94704gk5r22jsqg9gy2wpxkk5dft9q5gugc8tj53nq2qg5q22d.blossom.band/7d59d20e95dbc2216eedabf9efda10d0b3c4d3a929ded81c03c2ff7a4d116ee4.mp4
