@lain it’s even available now though idk if it’s in the kernel
the ONLY thing pulseaudio offered over it was Bluetooth stuff which at the time was completely irrelevant
even today it absolutely mogs alsa
pipewire is good in some respects, like it can have latency characteristics close to jack but…
I’m just sad about how it went, it could have been the default to this day ;-;
