i'm not a huge fan of the generational blame game, but the baby boomers were the largest voting bloc for decades. they inherited a high-growth affordable system and then proceeded to vote time and again for policies that led to this outcome for their kids and grandkids.

The above is a mess, I agree. Not sure how the Boomers get the blame though. The oldest ones (my dad was born in 1946) weren’t meaningfully ‘running’ anything until the 1990s at the earliest. The factors that have been ruining our society predate that be at least 30 years. Now, if you want...
