Really great. This is one of the little popular private messengers, I did know for a while, but never tried it myself.
Maby I will test it out soon. But I really think, that the connected phone number is a big plus for signal, when it comes to finding contacts.
And in the end, most people want to use one chat app in an ideal case. Some are open to install a second one. But little are happy to operate several.
And therefore I can see, that there can hardly be more than 3 popular chat apps. So when privacy should be a thing, I am happy to use Signal, since many friends and family members already adapted it.
And the hardest part is still convincing people to accept conversations outside Whatsapp. Since in whatsapp there is a hand full of people, one can not reach. In Signal it often is a hand full of people one can reach. With more private solutions often this numer gets smaller down to absolute nerds like us. Or onelneeds to offer direct technical support. And not many people are even happy to get this support from me.
