Since 2022 I am using Anki to learn vocabulary. And think it is among the best ways to learn something by heart.

The system is called spaced repetition. Means to wait for a long time until you repeat a word you are very familiar with and repeat those often, which are difficult to remember.

Today I realized, that this is the system basically all advertisment is using. When something seems of little importance to a consumer, maby he considers the product or brand more important, when shown more often.

Advertising is like an external learning process with participants that did not subscribe for it.

In den USA werden die Staatsschulden immer mehr zu einer Schlinge um den Hals des Staates. Ich denke wenn der Zenit erst mal erreicht ist und Grosse investoren die Schulden nicht mehr tragen, so ist die USA beim staatsbankrott.

Ich denke dieser Schritt wird unsere Weltwirtschaft stark erschüttern. Und wenn keine Regierung bereit ist Militärausgaben runterzufahren und das Gesundheitswesen zu reformieren, dann geht wohl kein Weg daran vorbei.

I am not totally sure if I understand this correct. But I have a Laptop running with Linux and has a NVIDIA GPU installed.

Currently I run with MX Linux, which is Sysv init.

It should run on MX Linux when using the installer. At this point there is no need to set it up as a system service. First step is to figure out of the transcoding works. Which nvidia drivers and which ffmpeg version works. I don't have that hardware setup myself at the moment.

Yes probably I was a bit too fundamentalist, when writing the last comment. I am sorry for offending. Maby read a lot of FSF-philosophy articles just the same day.

But it is true, that there are a lot of good companies dedicated to some idea, which just did not have the chance to learn, that they could deliver their services through free software too.

Defnitly chessdotcom does actually a lot to promote chess. And that is a good goal on its own.

Not sure exactly. I think I'll be here a long while. Maybe in a new form. Something tells me I'll get to watch it play out though. Thats cool that you have a place that accepts it.

Is it that you are against mixing religion and state in general? I can totally agree to disagree with mixing religion and democratic lawmaking.

But I agree, that Jews need their country, so there is at least some place dedicated to protect jews. Every other world religion is much more represented in nation states.

Why can one want to take away this protection from the jews?

Through the long term build up of conspiracytheories about jews, it is easier to blame them than most other minority groups.
Whenever a politician legitimated by popularity caused a crisis, it is a comfortable way to blame others for it.

A minority that was blamed more often is far easier to blame. People can then relate to all the other events they were blamed too. So tupid people start to belief the lies, since they are to find in enough references.

But those people who want problems solved better look out for the rootcause of the problem. And in most cases it is too unprobable, that whatever problem is vanished, when a minority group is not participating in society.
