Calls for “digital sovereignty” are still everywhere. As I expressed in the context of a related prominent campaign launched in Germany (#DID) I feel very ambivalent about its effects. While I consider recommendations to switch away from certain companies good advice, such a limited framing has substantial drawbacks. I want to address these in a new blog post for @nprofile1q... and hope to inspire some motivation beyond just moving into "larger cages".
