Ich räume ein: Ich hadere manchmal mit der etwas zärtlicheren Art von @nprofile1q..., Dinge zu benennen.

Die aktuelle Folge vom #Dissens zu seinem neuen Buch "Gegenmacht" (noch nicht gelesen), ist gleichzeitig richtig, richtig gut, ermutigend und sehr klar in der Analyse dessen, was es braucht. Besonders die Kritik an der zögerlich Positionierung der Zivilgesellschaft hat mich (positiv) überrascht. Und der halbe shout-out an @nprofile1q... freut auch 😉

One of my favourite podcasts, @nprofile1q... is doing a series on Ursula K. Le Guin's "The Dispossessed".

When it comes to picturing alternatives to our capitalist reality there are plenty of theoretical works (see e.g. book "Creative Construction" by Groos/Sorg) or historical examples (see e.g. "Cybernetic Revolutionaries" by Eden Medina) ...

... but few works paint such a vivid, honest and inspiring picture about life after capitalism like "The Dispossessed".

Anyone who criticises "AI" has heard the reply "Yes, but AlphaFold".

Now Google shuts down AlphaFold in order to focus on what it thinks is a profitable "AI"-business: Gemini. This is why I think it is so important to look at "AI" not just from a technological perspective but understand it as a social and economic project of domination. "AI" is LLMs and profit. AlphaFold was no "AI" according to this definition. What is was is a helpful narrative to justify "AI".
