Interesting. I still love #nostr and I will stay here. If there were a hoard of Fakebook or $hi#er onboarding, I can’t see myself staying active on the daily, like I am now, across 4 clients.

An alternate take... When there's less Bitcoin stuff, it will become more interesting. The most common response I get from Fediverse friends trying this place (many of whom are tech savvy) "ergh crypto". I'm not a drug dealer so I'm not gonna orange pill them, blue pill them or whatever mad drugs...

Then you should hope nostr gets a good reddit clone soon, so the first big wave of people joining can be old school redditors who remember what it was like before Aaron Swartz died.

I know people want nostr to grow.. but I am pretty happy that its not a cash cow for influencers and scammers. It means the bulk of what you run into are real posts by real people giving really hot takes. As influencers take over, my usage of nostr for already-limited social media intake will just ...
