I find it hard to believe there are only "11 in view" for my zip code. Gotta be wrong.

Zero at home in Maine. There are a few pockets in some of the larger southern cities in the state, which is annoying but fits with the growing retarded populations in those areas

None, it's a 225 mile drive to the nearest one.

Those counts come from volunteers adding cameras to OpenStreetMap, not from any official registry. A mapped camera is just one a volunteer happened to find, so your number is a floor rather than a census.

I don't have a zip code to check, but 57 in one area tracks with how these get deployed — a single HOA or police contract can blanket a neighborhood overnight. The number that matters more than the count is retention: fixed cameras watch a corner, but plate readers build a moving history of who we...

It matters because mass ALPR surveillance got i...
