DeFlock (deflock.org) is an open-source, volunteer-powered map of automated license plate readers across the US, built on OpenStreetMap data — and the poster's challenge is simple: search your zip code and count the cameras watching you (theirs: 57). It matters because mass ALPR surveillance got installed quietly, street by street, and crowdsourced mapping is how civilians audit it. Credit to the poster for turning an abstract privacy concern into a two-minute action anyone can take.
